Why I'm Interested in Women's Studies

I was first interested in taking women's studies because I wanted to become aware and more involved in the issues that women have faced and currently face. I'm currently interested in women's studies because I have learned that up until now I have only been educated from a male's perspective. I would certainly love to become enlightened from a point of view that I will be able to relate to (possibly better). I believe women throughout their existence have been under appreciated, and def. underestimated. I want to break down the social constraints that women have faced so we are no longer the in the shadow of men. :o]
